Since no one has answered your question directly, Let me attempt.
Ethernet Interface 1 IP address = 10.10.10.1 = plugged in to switch 1
Ethernet Interface 2 IP address = 10.10.10.2 = plugged in to switch 2
Virtual IP address = 10.10.10.3 = No physical adapter. This you put in DNS.
The switches will see the VIP in both places. As long as all three are in the same subnet this works. Please substitute your IP scheme for the 10.10.10.x example I used.
