It's supposed to be a 9406-270. It's really a pile of boards and cables on
my bench. I had to move it so I could get some real work done this week,
I'll have to fire it back up over the weekend get the exact SRC. I wrote it
down somewhere but can't seem to find it right now.
I have a feeling that the SRC is because something is missing. I don't
think I have the right control panel. The one I have has one connector on
it. I found some others on ebay that look like they have a VPD module in
them, and a second connector.

I've dug around and found various lists of SRCs, but cannot find any
containing the ones that begin with B4xx. Does anyone know if these
are documented somewhere?
What hardware; i.e. system model and generation of CPU?
The v7r1 InfoCenter lists only some very specific SRCB4##XXXX, with
each indicated to mean "It may indicate a system processor failure."
The midrange wiki offers something similar:
http://wiki.midrange.com/index.php/SRC
"... Problem: Machine problems; SRC: B3xx xxxx – B4xx xxxx; Description
: System processor hardware machine check ..."
A document found on the web [with no publication number found]
documents a number [~21] of srcB400xxxx [apparently POWER7 processors
and "associated models" entitled: "Power Systems System reference codes
(Bxxx)"]
http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/powersys/v3r1m5/topic/p7eai/p7eai_SRC2.pdf
The specific SRC encountered, searched in its symptom keyword form,
might be useful if any issues [such as defects or KB articles] have ever
been reported to IBM and\or published by IBM; i.e.: SRCjjjjnnnn
FWiW: Try a web search on both sets of the following delimited
tokens; the latter search tokens located the PDF document I referenced
earlier, for which a link was included:
"System Reference Code" "Bxxx"
"System Reference Code" "B4xx"
