I neither know nor care Roger.

Here is the scenario:

1) Client was told by management that they must use Agile for their major modernization project.

2) An Agile consultant was bought in to mentor the IBM i team.

3) Consultant has stated that OO is essential for Agile.

4) Client does not believe that and sought advice on how to deal with the situation.

5) I agree with the client - this is rubbish but my knowledge of Agile is only theoretical.

6) I posted here to ask for folks who have practical exposure to using Agile in an RPG environment. I am hoping that some are either willing to share their experience with the client and if I'm lucky perhaps one of the responders may be available to consult.

That's it - I'm not planning on a religious war with the consultant (or anyone else) just want to try and help the client get some grounding to avoid having to do something idiotic like rebuild all they have in Java.

And, he backs up this blanket statement with what set of facts and

Because the "Agile advisor" in place is insisting that only OO languages can
support Agile.

I'm looking for someone who can dispute this based on experience - not
theory - which is all I have.

We're doing scrum ... but I don't really see how programming language
enters into it.
