Yes the journals and their receivers are stored in a library.
I'll be honest, our primary use of journalling on stream file systems is
to get Mimix to work. Our developers use journalling a lot to audit
stuff, which is why we keep them around for a LONG time (over two months).
We've not looked at them to alter our backup and recovery strategy for
stream files. Well, in a way we have. We replicate everything over with
Mimix to another machine and backup from that one.
