That sounds tailor made for Bayesian Inference/Analysis processing. :)
You might look into the BAT toolkit. It is written in C++ I think, but should port to the i without a lot of trouble. Would port with no trouble at all to AIX or Linux as well. I included the link below.

Don, we're running 7.1 on a small single partition 515...but an AIX
partition is a possibility I suppose.
