RE: System i Navigator does not allow mkdir

Rob,

The right click menu >sometimes< shows: New Folder... Delete... Rename...

In this case, there are four folders beneath the one created by Ops Mgr
and I show as owner of three.

For these three, only one shows New Folder,Delete,Rename on its
right-click menu ?

I somewhat understand being limited where I am not owner, but
the group I mentioned is included for all these folders.

This is the group that I and all programmers are members of and
is the group that owns all objects in the "library file system"
created by myself and my team.

So, for all of these folders, I expect to have permissions and
this is confirmed when I select Permissions from the right-click
menu.

I disagree Jim. If he see's "File Systems" then he's got file systems.

Gary,
If I right click on the folder name in the left panel then I get an option to create a new folder within that folder.
If I right click on the folder name in the right panel I also get an option to create a new folder within that folder.
I cannot click on 'white space' and get that option like I do in Windows Explorer.
If that doesn't work for you, then perhaps you do not have permissions to that folder?

Gary,

This could have something to do with which parts of iNav were installed on
your PC. As an ADMIN, I have all parts installed, so I see all the
options. I have users who are restricted, so what they get is the ability
to see and control their printer output.

I'm not where I can see the install options, but check to make sure you
have all the parts you need installed on your PC.

Do you mean it doesn't work or you can't find how?

If you can't find how, merely right click on the folder in which
you wish to create the new folder and select 'New Folder'
