Page Rotation on the printerfile is set to *AUTO. It has been this value on all tests I performed.

We've had the same issue when set to *DEVD.
*AUTO fixes most issues.

CPI was set to 16.7. I tried changing this to several different values, with the following results:
CPI 10: white space on the left side, a lot of text on the right side cut off CPI 12: white space on the left side, a little bit of text on the right side cut off CPI 13.3: white space on the left side, some more text on the right side cut off CPI 15: no white space on the left side, a little bit of text on the right side cut off CPI 16.7: no white space on the left side, text fits, some white space on the right side CPI 18: no white space on the left side, text fits, some white space on the right side CPI 20: no white space on the left side, text fits, a lot of white space on the right side
In all above tests, LPI was set to 8. Last week, LPI was set to 6.
I am pretty sure the solution has to be finding the right combination of LPI and CPI parameters. I could go and try every possible combination and see if any will work, but I rather understand what I am doing and change something because I know why.
I was under the assumption that LPI would effect the vertical side (long side) of the paper and CPI would effect the horizontal side (short side). Seeing my test results, that assumption was wrong and both parameters effect the width of the text. Could someone explain to me how LPI and CPI work and what their effects are on placing text on a paper (or PDF for that matter)?
