This is a shot in the dark. I am wondering if LibreOffice can handle
OfficeVision format. I know that LibreOffice can read and write Word
format and a number of others.

Speaking of officevision...

Does anybody have a good way to convert an officevision doc to word?

I've got a dozen or so I'd love to have in a Word format (they are our
software app manuals).

I've tried the Microsoft RFT-DCA converter and while the output is usable,
I lose lots of formatting.

If anybody would be will to convert them for me I'd happily buy a few
drinks you at COMMOM.

Joel,

I believe your company has a license to our iSeries Office Integrator and
iForms products both of which can be utilized to replace
Officevision/400.

Might be time to modernize :-)

Joel,

You should be able to locate the 5769WP1 product using the LICPGM menu
option 10. Another alternative would be the DSPSFWRSC command. The last
version of the 5769WP1 product was V4R2M0. The OV/400 commands fail with
exception MCH42B5 (Program or module not convertible.) at release 6.1 and
higher, due to the enforcement of system object integrity added with
release 6.1:
http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/power/software/i/v6r1/conversion.html

If you want to investigate your options in terms of replacing the OV/400
product, there's a redbook covering that topic here:

Cheers,
Carsten

Our company is using Officevision/400. I would like to find out the
version. Is it the same version as OS/400?

I tried go licpgm option 10 but don't see it. Does it have some
encrypted
name?

We currently are on v5r4.

Also, will our current Officevision/400 product work on OS400 v7r1?
