Thanks for the update.
I'd love to see the same config/jobs running SSD instead of the 10k SAS.
We have P7 8205 SSD on Prod - 10K SAS on R&D.
Based on my benchmarking, you would see another 200% improvement.
Runtime went from 4:40 to 1:40 - Est with SDD  50 min
Runtime went from 3:12 to 1:09 - Est with SSD 35 min
Runtime went from 1:23 to 0:18 - Est with SSD  9 min
Base on your timings, the P8 charts, etc, 
I'm trying to determine the P7 to P8 savings.
