Roberto:
If I read you correctly you want to take a disk formatted for AIX and use it
on IBM i.
Boot from DVD into DST if needed or STRSST
Work Disk Units
Work with Disk unit recovery
Disk unit problem recovery procedures
Initialize and format disk unit
By the time you're done you'll have model 50 drives of the appropriate type.

Subject: 512 to 522 disk format
I remember Dr Franken mentioning that with SAS disk there is a way to format
300Gb disks into 281Gb and vice-versa, i just got a batch of 300Gb which of
course appear as 6600 to my I_BASE_01, i was wonderin how exactly that
format can be applied, maybe i have to hook them up to a VIOS partition?
(that would be time-consuming as my vios machines dont have 3.5"
bays) Or maybe it's related to the linux iprconfig tool i googled?
Well if anyone knows, i may put those disks to good use...
Best Regards,
Roberto Etcheverry
