Why don't my QAUDJRN receivers have a valid save date and time, yet
have a status of SAVED?

The Journal feature knows the receiver has been saved. That is
because a J-RS journal entry gets logged to the current receiver, so the
Journal feature can reflect that historical effect in the "Status", as
obtained from the receiver-chain information maintained with the Journal
(*JRN) object; if the receiver had never been attached, the status will
always show EMPTY irrespective any save activity. After the receiver
has been attached to a journal however, the "Save date" and "Save time"
will be extracted from the Object Information Record (OIR) when the
Display Journal Receiver Attributes (DSPJRNRCVA) is requested. Thus if
a receiver [that had been attached sometime in the past] has never been
saved with Update History (UPDHST) specified as *YES [to effect
including the save history in the OIR of that Journal Receiver (*JRNRCV)
object], then those Date\Time attributes are presented as zeroes or
blank to indicate that the information is not available. The Display
Object Description (DSPOBJD) for DETAIL(*FULL) shows blanks for Save
Date/Time instead of zeroes; perhaps a better choice for the time
attribute, given all-zero-digits is a valid time.
