Most of my customers use journaling, but either works. Journaling gets past
the locked files and I'm sure there are a bunch of them. Remember you
don't need to replicate the Zend LPP itself, although you would then have to
apply fixes times two, but then you have to do that with IBM i anyway.

No I do not replicate logs or cached objects. In an unplanned switch you
don't need them to continue business anyway. In a planned switch you can
push them over manually as part of the switch plan.

It was my original question.

Do you use co-operative replication (or advanced journaling)? I have it set
right now to not use co-operative. I'm getting several objects which are of
course always allocated on the source so I think I need to change these.

Do you replicate logs and cache objects or is it worth the effort of
excluding them?

Both the web sites and MySQL have specific directories. The web site
locations you'll find in the http.conf file and the MySQL is in
/usr/local/mysqldata if you have not moved it. I just replicate
these directories to the target. Note: you obviously cannot have
either Zend or MySQL started on the target.
