DOH...I finally got it.  I had to restore for release V6R1M0 not V7R1M0 
sigh it's time for more caffeine & Excedrin Migraine!!! (but it does seem 
that it should be V7R1 imo)

Did you read "media labels and their contents"?  does it say that these 
java options are on any B_Group disc?  I know that some new flavors of 
Java came out for V5R4 long after V5R4 came out and never made it to one 
of the B_Group discs and had to be downloaded from ESS separately.  None 
of the B_Group flavors of java that come with V5R4 will run on 7.2
