In a nutshell, you need to make up an SSL Application Name to use. Then
add that to your Configuration as well as some items to tell the server to
Use SSL.

SSLAppName MYSITE_SSL
SSLEngine On
SSLCacheDisable

Then you import the certificate as a server cert using DCM. Then apply the
same application Name to that cert as in your configuration.

If you want assistance, feel free to contact. Thanks!

I was sent a file (xxx.yyy.com.cer) that was generated from Network
Solutions Certificate Authority.

Can someone explain the process to make my site SSL?

System:

Http Server Apache/2.2.11(i5)
Certificate: xxx.yyy.com.cer (supplied to me from Network Solutions).
