Ah - I get it - actually, those are not considered the same as data files - so they won't show up.

There is a distinction between these "flat" files (pre-DDS?) and true data files - with DDS or DDL.

For example, you can redirect output from an ls command in QShell to a flat file but not to one created from DDS.

I'm probably off some on the details, but that's generally what I've seen - non-DDS PFs have no structure - no external format. Only what is imposed on them internally in RPG and maybe COBOL.

In database terminology "member" is replaced by "partition"
SYSPARTITIONSTAT has a 10 character object name of SYSPSTAT
