The following SQL Command will generate an XML for a complete table/physical
file

Select XMLGROUP(Column1, Column2, .... ColumnN)
From YourSchema/YourTable;

The result can be written to the IFS by either using unix_type APIs or with
embedded SQL using file reference variables:

Betreff: AS400 DB to XML

Hi, I am trying to find a way to convert an AS400 database file to an XML
file. I know that this is not a difficult thing to do. My issue is that I
simply lack the knowledge. Is there a simple tool in Web Sphere Development
Studio Client that does this? Or does anyone know of a utility/tool outside
of it that will do the same?

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
