Ok, I'll admit that I was never shown the prices for the fiber tape
library, switches, cards, etc. But if they're even close, why would one
order SAS over FC? I gotta believe that using fewer ports has to have a
significant factor in reducing costs. Especially with Power 8's being
extremely limited on expansion slots for now.
Sure, adding a switch in there will increase some knowledge needed. But
it will help to reduce the complexity of having to flop devices around,
varying on/off, etc.
