A date table has always worked well for me. Especially when the CFO, mid-year- decided to make September a 4 week month and move that 5th week into August.

All this has been an interesting study in academics, and, based on the
OP's request has a business application.

However I am again wondering if the oft suggested date table might be a
better performer. Granted, some new columns to consider might be
Week_iso, Year_iso, ...
