In Navigator under File Systems there is a File Share option that shows all the file shares in one place.

Subject: Cannot Share IFS Directory

I get "Error occurred while working with shared resource GARYT"
Message ID: CPFB68A when I attempt to share that IFS directory, which I own.

GARYT is just below the IFS root.

Details show: reason code 1 - Duplicate share GARYT found.

I've yet to find another instance (there was a GARYT on another lpar - but I re-named that to no avail).

Web search on CPFB68A so far shows only "Error occurred while working with shared resource"

I've not been checking sub-directories, don't think there would be one, and that's a lot of work . . .
