If I'm going to copy to the local system then I can already do that with
existing three part naming:

Create table rob.localcopy as (
SELECT a.cmPNY, a.CMPNAM
FROM gdi.erplxf.rco a)
with data

No additional product needed going between multiple IBM i's.

And I understand the performance considerations of doing joins remotely.
Well, maybe I don't understand it 100% but I do understand there may be a
performance penalty. However, I think that is my decision to make. If I
want data that is accurate and up to the minute and it doesn't bring the
system to it's knees then I'll make that decision myself.
