Not that this is an HTML/CSS discussion, but CSS has a transform:scale(n,n)
property that is used to expand or shrink any text of any size to fit any
width.

I sometimes set an HTML table width to 100% of the page width, so that cell
widths expand or contract according to the size of the content placed
therein.
