Yes! Orange platters? Leaning towards "burnt orange" IIRC. So I wasn't
imagining the transparent housing on those? The ones I remember were
definitely larger than 12".

I think I would have played my nerd-man card on a request to throw that
piece of history out. It was only about 5 years ago that I recycled all of
my 80-column punch cards from school. (MI for IBM 1130!) And now I have
thoroughly aged myself. (But I think I'm in good company here, so...)
