Maybe your Netserver user id is disabled?
In Navigator open up:
>Network>Servers>TCP/IP
Right click on 'i5/Os NetServer'
Click 'Disabled User IDs'.
Is your profile on the list?
Re-enable it there.

Just to confirm, you're using the fat client IBM i Access for Windows,
"System i Navigator", right?
You've expanded File Systems, File Shares, highlighted an existing share and
are now trying to make a network drive to it, and the option to Map Network
Drive is all greyed out?
I don't see that. Even if I have a drive already mapped there, shutdown
NetServer, etc.

I can't for the life of me remember this piece of info.
When I am in iSeries Navigator and I right click on a shared drive, the
"map
network drive" is grayed out. What step did I miss?
