I have to agree with this, if your needs are simple and you would like
something quick (virtually no effort at all).

I used to really hate CPYTOIMPF, but for very different reasons than
Rob. For me, CPYTOIMPF sucked because it really had no clue how to
make an Excel-friendly CSV. (The CSVs it created were somewhat more
suitable for roll-your-own parsing, but even then, actually not that
good.) Featurewise, it has steadily improved from release to release,
and now, while it's still not great, it's what I consider perfectly
serviceable as a simple-to-use, already-on-the-system CSV exporter. If
you don't already have something else for this purpose, you might as
well give it a try, because it'll take just a few minutes. No
downloading more software, no programming, just a CL command.

I also agree that the Excel plugin on the PC side (I'm assuming Diego
means the one that comes with Client Access or its successors) is
pretty easy to use, and worth a try if you already have it.
