I am having issues with the STRPCCMD in Client Access Solutions. We have a
command to open a browser to a specific web page. It works in our default
emulator. I've been experimenting with the new emulator in Client Access
Solutions and the command is acting strange.
If I set PAUSE(*YES), the command works.
If I set PAUSE(*NO), the command does not work.
We do not need the session to pause, so we would prefer to leave
PAUSE(*NO). The command works in the other emulator regardless of the
PAUSE parameter.
Actually, STRPCCMD seems to be having issues with the Windows "start"
command in general. Here's an example of my commands:
start "" "http:/www.mywebsite.com/cgibin/mypgm.pgm?myparam=myvalue"
or
start "firefox" "http:/www.mywebsite.com/cgibin/mypgm.pgm?myparam=myvalue"
If I run these directly from CL command line, Client Access Solutions opens
the default browser for both. If I run them in Windows directly, I get the
default browser for the first and Firefox for the second, which is the
expected behavior. If I run the commands in the default emulator, I get
the same result as running them in Windows directly: default browser then
Firefox.
Has anyone else experienced weirdness using STRPCCMD from Client Access
Solutions?
