The 2755 directories show up like this:

drwxr-sr-x 12 SIDBLOG 0 77824 Feb 25 12:54 wp-includes

The 2777 ones as:

drwxrwsrwx 9 SIDBLOG 0 40960 Feb 25 12:52 wp-admin

I think Scott has come up with the answer though - this is an IBM i specific thing and should have no impact. It is triggering warnings in a Wordpress plugin because it is looking for 755 and these numbers are clearly too big!

Sadly - although it is great to know - it means that one possible cause of our Wordpress problems (permissions) is a dead end so we are still no closer to a solution.

Jon,
when you use STRQSH, what is the output of

ls -l

on that directories?

for 755, the output should look like

drwxr-sr-x 2 QSECOFR 0 8192 Jun 26 01:43 test

(if the directory is named test)

the following will set mode 755 for test and its subdirs:

chmod -R 755 test

-h

Any Unix/IFS gurus out there?

I am being directed to set the permissions for a number of directories and files to 755. This I have done with chmod but the tool that checks the status is reporting that the resulting value is now 2755. Huh?

Anyone got any idea why this might be? And how to fix it?
