Once you have it in a source file member you can use RUNSQLSTM on that 
source member to actually execute the sql.
Editors you can use to modify the source include:
- RDP (Rational Developer for Power)  Name may be slightly different. Full 
fledged Eclipse based environment.
- STRSEU  Green screen based command.  Not a bad editor but it is 
deprecated for RDP.  Requires 57##WDS loaded on your IBM i.  (## varies by 
release)
- EDTF FILE(LIBRARY/FILE) MBR(MEMBER)  Stone age but will get the job done 
in a pinch if you don't have 57##WDS loaded.  Comes with the OS.
