This is not what FTP is for.

Can't you do this instead?
First, do WRKRDBDIRE and get that fixed for the remote system.
Second, in STRSQL do
INSERT INTO gdihq.ROB.AAAKEY (LOC) VALUES('01.074')
or
INSERT INTO RemoteSystem.SchemaAkaLibrary.TableAkaFile (LOC)
VALUES('01.074')

That insert statement works on a 7.2 lpar to a 7.1 lpar.
