The assumption is correct. See "Task 6" of the "Checklist 20: ..." under the larger topic "Recovering your system" which refers to the topic about "Configuring disks and disk protection" that they will need to do to ensure the full restore can complete [without problems; problems that would transpire for a lack of the properly configured ASPs for both volume and thresholds].

In memos for the contract I keep specifying 4 ASPs with the size and
get back a summary response with only Total Disk size.
I'm not the direct contact, and do not want to be surprised.

Find someone to pester about their clarifying with the vendor, that the vendor is both aware of the requirements and that they might include that important information in the summary of the disk [space] requirements.
