We have 9 production IBMi partitions running on a gen 1 v7k dual vios
All IBMi disk are virtual
Just acquired gen2 v7k for encryption at rest and are beginning a
migration from gen1 to gen2 V7k
Just now implementing metro mirror
Also use flash copy toolkit for backup
7 of 9 IBMi
Partition backup using flash copy
I would NEVER go back to internal disk
