The Maintained Temporary Indexes (MTI) almost surely will still be

created.

That is little bit disappointing. Still stopping updates to sysixadv will
help. We have created several indexes just to reduce number of updates to
sysixadv. All these indexes were advised more than 10 million times. At one
point journal associated with sysixadv was filling up so often, we googled
and came across PTF that disables journaling on sysixadv and turned off
journaling on sysixadv based on PTF.
