Backing up a MySQL database with all IBMDB2I tables?

We have a client that is using ZendDB to store data that is access by MS
Access. They are using InnoDB, but we are proposing they move to storing
the data in DB2 via the IBMDB2I backend.

Has anyone done this? There's less than a gig of data so migration wise I'm
thinking we just dump the database, edit the create table statements and do
a restore. As far as backups, can we just do a mysqlump --no-data and
backup the library with the PFs normally? Is a savewhileative good enough
or do I have to shut down mysql to be sure?

As far as restoring do I just recreate the schema and then restore the
physical files from tape?
