I was recently reviewing Production LPAR performance numbers.
Not really having any issues, 100% SSD with 155gb memory.
Everything running well.
But I did find something interesting that has me curious.
Total Wait Analysis.
Semaphore contention 3.825 (53.87%)
Time dispatched on a CPU 2.626 (36.97%)
I've been informed that it is not normal to see Semaphore contention.
And over half of my waits are.
Anyone ever see this?
How does one find the job(s) that are causing Semaphore contention?
