That's a good point. But as with alternatives in general, one must weigh
the positives and negatives, and how well a process fits with overall
objectives. Although I like RSTLICPGM, DLTLICPGM, and the notion of
adopting infrastructure provided by IBM, I'm becoming more leery about
IBM's infrastructure for handling PTF's.


The problem with custom license software is that you have to think of
everything people on this post may have already though of to access your
software.


License enforcement is another area we're we differ from IBM. We plan on
allowing anyone to download, use, and distribute our software for free.

A fee would only be required in cases where the number of concurrent
"sessions" exceeds a threshold, where a "rate" of perhaps $1 dollar per
month would be applied to the average session count.
