RE: PDF to AFPDS using Infoprint server and AFPDS to PCL using HPT

Actually if they are using Markmagic, I recall it being label printing software, so Zebra printers are probably relevant depending on the actual printers the OP wants to print to.

While Zebra printers use ZPL, there are also available Windows drivers which the scenario I described would support.

I did a quick google search and didn't see any PDF capable label printers or any ready-made PDF to ZPL software for IBM i. Do you know of any ?

In any case my described scenario is still valid with or without our software.

And IMHO, there's plenty of pluses to avoiding the complexities of multiple
system jobs.

Especially if you don't already have such a tool like automate.

Direct PDF printing is nothing new. If the OP is stuck with printers that
don't support it, it's likely they are pretty old. Replacing them in my
mind might be a good idea; just from a lifecycle perspective. The need for
direct PDF printing would just be an additional driver.
