All I can say is that if you create a table with SQL, the default is
*NOMAX, REUSEDLT(*YES)

I'd consider REUSEDLT(*YES) to be a pest practice now-a-days.

Personally, we have MessengerPlus.  It can be configured to monitor for
file full messages and automatically reply 'I' to increase the file size.
You can have it set to only do this X times, then it alerts you of the
issue.
