You mean those things I've offered to do a presentation on for STATUS?
"IBM DB2 for i Catalogs" have been around for awhile.  Some since V3R1.  I 
still remember that the 'database cross reference' stuff made a huge jump 
from V2R3 to V3R1.  Especially for those of us with a lot of file 
libraries.  Of course there's been a lot of activity since then.
"IBM DB2 for i Services" is another group
"IBM i Services" is yet another.  This is the one where your scratching 
your head initially what is has to do with SQL.  Like getting a list of 
PTFs.  Think of it as why code for an API when an SQL service is a heck of 
a lot easier.
