David,

In your AFP print driver, have you set "Print text as Graphics" on? If you leave this off, your text will appear as "garbage".

Does anyone know who to get the text in an overlay to print correctly?

I used the following steps.

1. Design overlay in Word (.doc)

2. Print as overlay with *AFPDS driver to .prn

3. Copy to PF. (*)

4. CrtOvl

5. The overlay prints with lines and logo as expected, but text appears in an incorrect code page.

I copied using CpyFrmStmF, Cpy, CpyFrmImpF using every possible combination of to/from CCSIDs.

PS: Some months ago, I designed an overlay in Visio without problems.

Any suggestions?

Sincerely,

David Lowery
