Is there any practical reason to know the difference?
One might argue that knowing that it's a table one could go into QTBLSRC
vs QDDSSRC (or whatever your naming conventions are).
Some people just won't care. Any source file is not to be trusted and one
should rely upon a 'generate sql' option if you just 'have to' retrieve
the 'source'. After all, anyone can run an ALTER TABLE ADD COLUMN...
statement without any 'source'. By the way, they wouldn't care if it was
DDS. They'd convert it to DDL anyway if they were generating source.
Many people would argue against that but one cannot deny the possibility
of someone thinking that way.
