In all honesty I don't do the development work that I used to. Been
awhile since I compiled a printer file.
Try this:
In your production system change the printer file with that option. (I
don't expect any CMS from stopping you.)
Now on your development system change the printer file and 'forget' to set
that attribute.
See if it promotion catches the delta. And, what actions, if any, it
performs.
Maybe it 'silently' does something. Like adopt the attributes of the
production system. You might have to check that attribute after promotion
occurs. See if it's using what you had on development vs what you had on
production.
