These are not show stoppers in any stretch of the imagination. Just items
to be aware of.
1 - It's different. I know, worst possible excuse in the world. But
anyone who is new to your system may be baffled when first looking for
QCLSRC, etc.
2 - There's a lot of cool stuff in the IBM i DB2 catalog for looking at
members and whatnot. You lose all that when you go to stream files.
3 - Ensure that any change management tool you look at is compatible.
I'd be interested in the Pros. I suppose that there is a world of open
source source versioning systems that would prefer them. Of course, one
has to be careful not to confuse a source version management tool with a
full change management tool.
