I am going to assume that you do not have any twinax devices anymore.

What we do here is we use IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM). Formerly
known as IBM Tivoli Identity Manager (ITIM).

All users are enrolled via ISIM. All users have a Windows account. Their
password expiration interval is shorter on Windows than on IBM i. When
they change their password in Windows it automatically syncs up their IBM
i account. We also have IBM Notes synchronized. Been working great for
years.
