I think you're correct. Our Windows admin said he had to install TCP printing on the PC in addition to opening up the firewall port.

The printer is working.

I did say in the past, but certainly some years ago in order to print to a windows share I needed to install some additional stuff that allowed me to print from a remote outq.
Things may have changed; I am not a Window admin.
Either way hopefully you found what you need.
