that you can use a self signed certificate. My question then becomes why
would you want to? Wouldn't you use a generic certificate instead?
Granted, you then have to issue
http://myibmi.corp.mycompany.com:2001
instead of
http://myibmi:2001
if your generic certificate is for *.mycompany.com
