Subject: ACS vs. Windows 10
Sent by: "MIDRANGE-L" <midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Today I downloaded and installed the latest 64-bit version of ACS on the

following machines:

Windows 7 Dell 64-bit laptop
Windows 10 Dell 64-bit desktop

After installing ACS, I downloaded and installed the latest version of
Java on each. The Windows 7 machine is working great. When I try to
run ACS on the Windows 10 machine, it flashes something on the screen
(which disappears so quickly I'm not sure what it was - maybe a
window?), and then acts as if I had never tried to run it.

Do you have a 64-bit JVM installed? Try the 32-bit start program to double
check.

FYI, the 64-bit start program should fallback to running the 32-bit start
program, but a couple internal developers have seen this same problem
where it's not working for some reason. (of course, I and some other ACS
developers can't recreate on our machines) We're looking in to it at the
moment.
