Chris,

I don't think it's possible to run SNI on V6R1. GSKit is part of the OS, it can't be updated separately.

I'm guessing you don't have a requirement to use SNI, since you say everything is working. I would just ignore it. This error does not affect your application at all, it's only in the debug trace so that when someone reports stuff to me, I have all of the information at my fingertips.

We are running identical version of the HTTPAPI on two iSeries, one

The V7R1 system does not have the error in its debut but the V6R1 has the following error logged:
(GSKit) Identifier value is not valid.
ssl_error(701): (GSKit) Identifier value is not valid.
SNI hostname error: (GSKit) Identifier value is not valid.
NOTE: SNI errors are not usually fatal.

Exact same program was compiled on each system. Everything is
working as expected so I have been ignoring the error. But since the
previous thread was regarding the HTTPAPI, I thought I would post
this. How can I check the GSKit on the older server or upgrade it if
simple. (As by the end of next month it will be new hardware and OS
running V7R2. Hey when I place the order V7R3 was not out.)
