I just looked at the Spreadsheet code and I see I add the environment
variable in the CLP.

ADDENVVAR ENVVAR(QIBM_RPG_JAVA_PROPERTIES) +

VALUE('-Djava.awt.headless=true;-Dos400.awt.native=true;-Xmx2048M;') +
REPLACE(*YES)

ADDENVVAR ENVVAR(JAVA_HOME)
VALUE('/QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/JavaVM/jdk50/32bit') +
REPLACE(*YES)

addlible poi36 *last

monmsg cpf0000

I assume I could create a wrapper for STRJVAGATE and do it that way?????

I do not have any environment variables set for Java.

I do use the POI36 classes and that works well.

How and where would I add the environment variable for Java 1.5 so that it
would not kill the POI36 functions for spreadsheets?

Thanks

Darryl

The system has Java 5.0 installed: 5722JV1 options *BASE, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10
and 11.

I assume when it runs that it selects the Java 5.0 JVM but do not know
how
to check for that.

Do you have an environment variable for your JAVA version? We use version
6 so we have the following.

Display Environment Var (*SYS)

Name . . . . . . . . . : QIBM_RPG_JAVA_PROPERTIES
Value . . . . . . . . . :
'-Djava.version=1.6;-Djava.awt.headless=true;-Dos400.awt.native=true;'
