I've tried to determine how IBM implements some of these new capabilities.
And if I had to do it I would do x and y and ... IBM normally says
something to the effect like that may work but we can access the internals
and make it a whole lot faster. So, while I appreciate the work arounds,
letting IBM know we need these things is a good start.
... as long as they don't say "we added that to DB2 Multisystem and if you
promise to fork over your first born son for all five generations you can
have it".
