What I was looking for was: What client are you trying? The deprecated
IBM i Access for Windows? Or the newer IBM i Access Client Solutions?
Closest I could find in your reply was: "iSeries Access 5.9". I know
that this is a nonexistent product but I tried to see this through your
eyes. I figured "common mistake, person does help about on a 5250 screen
and thinks the version there is the version of IBM i Access". It isn't,
but that does tell me two things. One, you're trying the deprecated
stuff. Two, you're running an older version of the deprecated stuff.
If I do a help about on a 5250 screen from IBM i Access Client Solutions I
get 1.1.6.0 which actually pertains to the version of IBM i Access Client
Solutions.
If I do a help about on a 5250 screen from the deprecated 7.1.0 SI56695 it
says I am running 6.0 which is newer than your 5.9.
You may want to try the newer IBM i Access Client Solutions and see if
that helps. If not, ditch that Mac and get a computer. :-)
Look for "Download IBM i Access Client Solutions base package" at:
