Yes, which is one reason that I like RAID 1. Sadly these are RAID 5
and need a minimum of three working drives to function. My absolute
best-case scenario is that the five drives that are present are all in
Parity Set 2, with two of them being duds, and Parity Set 2 is has
OS/400 on it. In that scenario, Parity Set 1 would have no drives
present.

This is, of course, highly unlikely.
